The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is a long-running community science event. You can add to more than a century of community-gathered data by participating. Learn more about the history of the Christmas Bird Count.
The Boise Feeder Count is for anyone that wants to be involved with our Christmas Bird Count from the comfort of their own home. As long as you live within the Boise count circle (click here for the count circle map), you can contribute your observations to our CBC data set by birdwatching from a single spot at your residence.
All participants must register in Volunteer Local to participate in the Boise Christmas Bird Count on December 21.
The fun After-Count Dinner will be at Smoky Mtn. Pizza on Park Center from 5-7:30. We ask that you let us know if you are coming. Donations will be accepted.
In order to participate as a Boise Feeder Counter you must:
1. Reside within the Boise Count Circle (To see a map of the count circle click here.)
2. Have a stationary place to view birds from your home and a set amount of time.
3. Use eBird to track and share your observations on the day of the count: December 21, 2024.
