Please sign up if you'd like to try your hand at growing native plant seedlings in 2026 with the Treasure Valley Native Plant Network.
Here is how it works: On the day you sign up for you will come pick up seed trays, locally-collected native seeds, soil and instructions. You will prepare the seed trays at your home following the instructions and then leave the trays outside in a protected place (no pets, marauding kids or basketballs). In the spring, the seeds will germinate (hopefully). You will take good care of the seedlings and return them to our Comba Park nursery when they are big enough to repot (May or early June). We encourage you to see your seedlings through their repotting into conetainers if you are able. Repotting can be done by you at home (we'll provide supplies later in spring) or in a group setting at one of our Potting Parties.
The tiny seedlings can easily die if they don't get cared for, so you need to be ready to stick with this project until June.
