Native Plant Grower

Please sign up if you'd like to try your hand at growing native plant seedlings in 2025. 

Here is how it works: On the day you sign up for, come to Comba Park between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm and pick up seed trays, locally-collected native seeds, soil and instructions.  You will prepare the seed trays at your home following the instructions and then leave the trays outside in a protected place (no pets, marauding kids or basketballs). In the spring, the seeds will germinate (hopefully).  You will take good care of the seedlings and return them to Comba Park when they are big enough to repot (May or June).

The tiny seedlings can easily die if they don't get cared for, so you need to be ready to stick with this project until June.
