Valley Fire Restoration Work

May 3rd - November 28th, 2025

Golden Eagle Audubon Society is working on a restoration project at the Boise River Wildlife Management Area in South East Boise, where nearly 10,000 acres were burned in the Valley Fire last fall.

Volunteers planted over 700 seedlings in March in our adopted area. We're revisiting to water and care for these plants. We'll also be planting additional seedlings (mainly fall season).

You need to be able to walk uphill and help carry tools and supplies.  This is steep, uneven and fragile post-burn terrain. Experience with native seedling planting is helpful. Age 18 and up.

There are no shifts available at this time.
